I can mark the youth house off of my " To Do" list!
Since January several of us have been working day and night to get this youth house completely renovated for our teenagers. They needed a safe place that they could hang out, socialize, worship, and learn. Well, Now they have it!
The new Crossroad Baptist Church Youth House is complete with "rooftop" worship center, where they can do their lessons, play in the band, watch videos on the projector, and much more. There is also an in-house cafe, with coffee,cappucino,espresso makers, snacks, and cozy cafe seating in a funky and inviting space. This building is also home to our church kitchen, which we refurbished, and now it is going to be a great place for our members to prepare for celebrations and special feasts. The teens also have a game room where they can play pool or air hockey, a card/game room where they can play board games or cards, a Wii room where they can have wii tournaments, and a movie/x box room where they can have dinner and movie nights right in their youth house OR rock out on the xbox with some RockBand! I think they are excited.
Our youth group is beginning a new era: the X Factor, which will teach them that God gives them the power to combat the enemy who is ALWAYS attacking us. It's spiritual warfare, and this new ministry will focus on giving them the tools to fight it.
